David wins blitz event at Coulsdon Chess Fellowship
David took first place in the CCF Open Blitz tournament, held at the Coulsdon Chess Fellowship on 31 May, with 10.5/12 points.

David took first place in the CCF Open Blitz tournament, held at the Coulsdon Chess Fellowship on 31 May, with 10.5/12 points.
On Friday 29 May David was interviewed and photographed at Eastbourne College by a team from Esquire magazine. The resulting article will be included in the August "Next Big Things" issue, available from late July, together with items on up-and-coming actors, musicians and sportsmen, including the band Keane. Look out for the article by Nick Scott, with photographs by Dan Burn-Forti.
David achieved his third IM norm in the GibTelecom Masters event held at the Caleta Hotel in Gibraltar from 27 January - 5 February 2004. He scored 5/10, including draws against six Grandmasters. He must now improve his FIDE rating from 2332 to 2400 in order to be awarded the International Master title.
David scored 6/9 in the Open Norwegian Championship, part of the Oslo Easter Festival, Scandic Hotel St Olav, held from 3 - 11 April 2004. His results sheet included five consecutive draws against International Masters.
David took part in the 1st Coventry International tournament during April 2004.
